I know most people wouldn%26#039;t recomend it, but i personally prefer flip flops over tennis shoes. I can walk for hours in flip flops and my feet feel fine...but in tennis shoes they sweat and feel yucky.
Im going to Disney World in September and want to know if they have any rules about wearing flip flops.
If i get on roller coasters where my feet hang, will it be ok if i take them off and put them in my %26quot;backpack purse%26quot; during the ride? (so they wont fall off my feet).
Personal Experiences from people who have worn Flip Flops to Disney would be great!!

My son wears flip-flops, and I always suggest sneakers or Crocs to him. My feet would be feeling it big time if I wore plain flip-flops, but he%26#039;s always fine.
On any ride where it may be an issue, and there would only be one or two, they%26#039;ll ask you to remove them is all. Not a big deal.

There are options that might be in between flip-flops and tennis shoes!
I wear hiking, walking, or sports sandals with straps when I visit the theme parks. Well cushioned soles, soles with a bit of traction, straps to keep them from flying off, and soft materials that don%26#039;t cause blisters. Flip flops come off too easily....and unless you wear the type that have good soles with traction you could easily fall.

Shouldnt people wearing flip flops be fined??
me and my brother were having a little argument and he said people wearing flip flops should be fined..its ocotober now so nobody is even wearing flip flops anymore...but i just realized he did make a good statement...he said

i always wear flip flops, but for a while my knees hurt really bad if i run or jump or do anything like that. my friends say its cuz of the flat flip flops. what do u think?

If you have pronated (flat) feet then most definitely wearing flip flops can cause knee pain b/c they provide no arch support. If you have flat feet and no arch support then this causes your ankle to roll inward which in turn will cause your knees to roll inward. When your knees roll inward it causes your knee caps to track in the wrong position and this causes patellofemoral syndrome. That is what it sounds like you may have. I would suggest you see an orthopedic doctor to have a look at your knees.

Everyone was so %26quot;fashionista%26quot; and the guys wore polo with flipped up collars and the lame surfer faux-hawks and khaki shorts with flip flops. These guys tried to be tough or cool, especially in front of me, and I could never help but laughing. I suppose I hate it mostly because I had to fight them a lot so have negative experiences with it. Dont get me wrong, do what you want, but you%26#039;re not cool looking at..all. It%26#039;s a pathetic display of how gross guys can be. I%26#039;m in Oklahoma, there%26#039;s no beaches, morons. You%26#039;re not a freaking surfer, so stop trying. If a guy isn%26#039;t going to be incredibly femenine, he need to at least have a sense of style of a man. Like psychobilly boys.. mmmhmmm...
Although I like femenine straight/gay guys, I don%26#039;t like the %26#039;stylish%26#039; morons walking around looking stupid.

Reply:I have a couple of pairs of flip flops from Hollister (green and pink). I think you should get the Cali Color Flip-Flops, because they are cheaper then some of others and come in a lot of colors. The only disadvantage is that the Hollister California seal (w/ the seagull), it wears off as you wear it more.
