Do flip flops damage ur knees if u wear them all the time?

Do flip flops damage ur knees if u wear them all the time?
If you have pronated (flat) feet then most definitely wearing flip flops can cause knee pain b/c they provide no arch support. If you have flat feet and no arch support then this causes your ankle to roll inward which in turn will cause your knees to roll inward. When your knees roll inward it causes your knee caps to track in the wrong position and this causes patellofemoral syndrome. That is what it sounds like you may have. I would suggest you see an orthopedic doctor to have a look at your knees.
Reply:NO! bcuz flip flops r 4 ur feet not knees.
Reply:It IS cause of the flip flops. When you wear a shoe that provides no support, or little support, it puts extra stress on your ankles, which puts extra stress on your knees. Your knees are telling you that it%26#039;s just too much when you run or jump - and that%26#039;s why it hurts. Trust your body! If you can run or jump in your tennis shoes without pain, that should be proof enough. Chronic stress on your knees and ankles can develop arthritis in either or both.
Reply:it could be but i don%26#039;t think so
Reply:You need to wear a proper shoe for running and jumping flip-flops will hurt you back your knee, could give you heel spurs and sprained ankles.

If you like them for walking maybe get a a variation of a flip flops by buying a good orthopaedic sandal instead.

Sport shoes are aptly named. Wear em
Reply:it doesnt damage your knees but u can get blisters on ur feet if u walk with them a lot
Reply:Not true- I%26#039;ve worn flip flops for years because of the mild climate I live in. I wear them year-round, and around the house, to school, and sometimes work. Tennis shoes are just like flip-flops in that they are both FLAT. It wouldn%26#039;t make sense to say wearing high heels do your feet better now, would it? You might want to see a foot doctor (orthopedic) who might provide you with a better explanation for your problem. But I highly doubt at all it%26#039;s flip flops.
Reply:I%26#039;ve never heard of that before.
Reply:Flip flops are terrible for your feet as they have no arch support and especially if you have taken to wearing them all the time, you will have knnees that hurt as well as backaches, I suggest you switch to something more suitable.
Reply:i don%26#039;t think so. they can hurt your back and your feet but i don%26#039;t know about your knees, maybe you tripped or something.
