I like to wear flip flops everywhere, but it's not good for my feet?

So, is there something I can wear in the flip flops to give more support, or are there flip flops that have great support. I can%26#039;t spend a whole lot of money on this though, but I don%26#039;t want to ruin my feet. Also do you know of any comfy shoes that are sort of like flip flops that don%26#039;t cost a lot?

You should try Naot or Birkenstocks or immitations. They are made to mold to the shape of your foot and they are so comfy. They come in tons of different styles including flip flop types. The real kind of pretty expensive but they are worth it and they last forever. But there are still a lot of fake ones out there that cost a lot less.

Look for the style called Gizeh, which is about half way down the page.

Now I know that they are expensive, and I know you want something that doesn%26#039;t cost a lot, but I have to tell you that Birks are absolutely the most comfortable shoes in the world, and they last forever. I have 4 or 5 pair, and that%26#039;s pretty much all I wear in the summertime (I have some closed Birk shoes that I wear a lot in the winter, as well as some heavy wool clogs), and they still look great. I bought my first pair about ten years ago, because we were visiting with my father in Florida, and there%26#039;s an outlet store there. After that, I bought a pair pretty much every other year, though I haven%26#039;t bought a new pair in a few years. The thing is, they are really good for your feet, and you can literally wear them all day, standing on your feet, which I used to do at work, and your feet don%26#039;t hurt. I also used to tend to slouch when I got tired at work, and the way the footbed is designed in Birks, you stand upright, so you don%26#039;t get pains in your back or neck or shoulders. I have some medical issues, and recently I was at a doctor%26#039;s office, and she noticed my shoes, and she spent five minutes telling me about how she recommends them to her patients because they are so good for your feet, and because they help your body stay aligned properly. She also asked if I wear Doc Martens, and I said I do, and she said they are also a very good shoe, but that the sandals are not--they are not designed the way the shoes are, so they don%26#039;t have the same benefits.

So, while I know they are expensive, I really urge you to consider saving up for a pair of Birks. The most recent incident with a doctor is not the only time I have been told they are very good for your feet. I have been told that repeatedly by doctors, not by the people who sell them, so I tend to believe that they are good. Of course, I wouldn%26#039;t bother wearing them if they weren%26#039;t comfortable and didn%26#039;t last a long time.

I am afraid that other than that, I have no suggestions. It is hard to find good supportive shoes which don%26#039;t look like old lady shoes, but, for me at least, the cost is definitely worth the benefit. I have a lot of friends who have all sorts of foot problems from wearing shoes that aren%26#039;t good for their feet, and I want to still be able to get around when I am 80, so I am trying to take care of them now.

Good luck on your search.
Reply:Many South east Asians wear them 24/7 for many, many years and seem to do okay.
Reply:you cant get any thing that works to go inside flipflops because the reason they are bad for your feet is because you have to curl your toes to keep them on and it ya wear em too much it has sum affect you can buy flip flop sandle things which hav a strap round the back wich then wont affect your feet as bad tho
